Extra Strong Grade — Elevated Ibogaine Alkaloid Profile
Extra Strong batches are sourced from older, deeper-rooted specimens where alkaloid accumulation — particularly ibogaine and noribogaine — is measurably higher than in standard-grade material. This results in greater potency per gram, making it the preferred choice for analytical reference work, standardised preparation and experienced practitioners requiring maximum efficacy per unit weight. Each batch is subject to independent alkaloid profiling to verify potency classification before release.
Botanical Profile — Tabernanthe iboga
Tabernanthe iboga (family Apocynaceae) is a perennial rainforest shrub native to the humid equatorial forests of Central West Africa. Its root bark contains a complex indole alkaloid matrix — with ibogaine as the primary psychoactive constituent — accompanied by noribogaine, tabernanthine, ibogamine and more than a dozen minor alkaloids. This alkaloid ensemble is the subject of ongoing European and North American clinical research, particularly in the context of treatment-resistant addiction and neuropsychiatric conditions.
Iboga has been central to the Bwiti spiritual tradition of Gabon and Cameroon for centuries, used in initiation rites, healing ceremonies and community rituals. Our sourcing relationships with Bwiti-tradition communities in Cameroon ensure cultural practices are respected and harvesters receive above-market compensation.
Sustainable Supply Chain & Compliance
Every batch is traceable to a verified harvest site in Cameroon. Our supplier partners implement mandatory replanting protocols — for every plant harvested, new specimens are cultivated — maintaining wild population viability. All exports are conducted under CITES Appendix II permits with full accompanying documentation.
